FAQ
Why must I place my order 72 hours in advance?
We like to provide you with the freshest juice possible. Therefore, we order our produce according to the amount of orders we have each day. As a small business, we appreciate advance orders so that we can plan accordingly. If you would like to make a last minute order, please e-mail us!
How many calories are in a 1-day cleanse?
There are six 16-oz juices in every 1-day cleanse. Each flavor varies, but your daily caloric intake is around 1200 calories.
Will I be hungry?
Most likely, no. The cleanse is designed to meet all of your nutritional needs, which should leave you feeling satisfied. Chances are that you will miss the act of eating! Sipping warm tea, lemon water, or water should help this pass. If you feel like you are about to give up, shoot us an email and we will help you through!
Will I lose weight on the cleanse?
Weight loss is a major motive for why people participate in juice cleansing. Although the main reason should be to get a healthy dose of vitamins and nutrients, it is understandable that people want to look good inside and out! Honestly, you will lose weight on the juice cleanse if you have weight to lose. At 1200 calories/day you are not going to be starving yourself, but most clients notice a weight loss of about 3-10 lbs.
Can I exercise while on a juice cleanse?
Of course! You will find that after a day of juice cleansing you have started to experience high levels of energy. If you feel strong enough to go for a run, by all means. Otherwise, a brisk walk, yoga or stretching should help make you feel fantastic. Make sure to drink plenty of water.
Being on the juice cleanse has effected my, um, bathroom activity. Is that normal?
Whether you are visiting the restroom more or less than normal, do not be alarmed! The juices have little fiber, so feeling a little blocked up is normal. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and tea. When you wake up in the morning, have a warm glass of lemon water (made with lemon and water!). Also, you may be able to notice the effects of the beet juice during your visits to the restroom. Don’t worry, it is the beets!
I have a headache/nausea, is that normal?
Yes, it is actually a good thing. The cleanse is working! Everyday we are inundated with toxins coming from our food and environment. While on the juice cleanse these toxins are being pushed out. The headache and nausea are normal side effects.
Can I drink coffee, alcohol, smoke or chew gum?
All of these things will interfere with you having a pleasant cleansing experience by interfering with your digestion. If you engage in these activities you will not get the results you should. The cleanse is definitely a financial commitment, we realize this! We want you to have a great experience and feel the effects of your hardwork. If you cannot dedicate the time and would rather be at happy hour, please reconsider ordering!
Do you advise anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding to participate in juice cleansing?
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not participate. Unfortunately, 1200 calories is not enough nutritional support for you and your baby, as recommended by most doctors. My juices are also made as fresh as possible, in order to maintain all vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other phyto-nutrients. This is great for most people, but those who are pregnant and breastfeeding should not run the risk of drinking unpasteurized beverages.
I am diabetic, is it safe for me to juice cleanse?
It should be! However, if you have any medical concerns, please consult with your doctor.
What is the point of green juice?
The green juice is the most important juice included in your cleanse, that is why you drink it 3X/day! Our bodies can become very acidic, which offsets our internal balance, creates deficiencies and encourages unhealthy cravings. Foods that are naturally acidic are very common in the Standard American Diet, more common than alkaline foods! Diseases thrive in an acidic environment. Common acidic foods include diet soda, coffee, red meat, dairy, sugar, nuts, legumes, and chocolate (some of my personal favorites!). The easiest way to achieve a more acid/alkaline balance in our body is to incorporate greens, greens and more greens. The green juice is a huge contribution to the cleanse, helping rid ourselves of unhealthy craving and helping to restore a natural balance.
How should I store my juices?
The juices must be constantly refrigerated! As soon as you receive your cleanse, put it in the refrigerator. If you are bringing juices with you to work or school, make sure you have them in your insulated Ripe Stuff lunch bag with cooler packs. Once you arrive at your destination, stick them back in the fridge!
How long do my juices last?
Your cleanse is delivered to you the night before you should start it. For optimal enjoyment please start the day you indicated when ordering. If you have any questions, please contact us.
It looks as though the juices are all separated?
That is normal, just give them a shake before consuming.
